About College

The College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology (CAET), was established on 3rd October, 1970 at the university head quarter, Akola. The college is one of the premier institutes in the country for imparting education in Agricultural Engineering leading to various degree programme and plays an important role in the development of human resource  in the field of Agricultural Engineering.

 

The College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology was started with five Departments namely viz, Department of Farm Power Machinery (FMP), Department of Agricultural Process Engineering (APE), Department of Soil and Water Management (SWM), Department Unconventional Energy Sources and Electrical  Engineering (UCES&EE) and Department of Farm Structures (FS). Further, the faculty was enhanced and fragmented in six departments in the years 1992. The additional department were created by bifurcating department of Soil and Water Management into two department namely as Soil and Water Conservation Engineering and Department of Irrigation and Drainage Engineering.
